FAQ
Hot feels cold to me
and cold feels hot. Is this normal?
Yes, this is a common symptom of RSD/CRPS, which can
be very confusing. Many patients report that their body's sense
of temperature is completely distorted and can swing improbably
from one extreme to the other. Leaning their arm against a cold
car window may cause a sensation of excessive heat. Touching something
hot may promote a sensation of coldness; and the opposite limb
may react quite differently. Science has not yet explained this
phenomenon which, in any case, is erratic even in the experience
of one individual but it is a recognised symptom. Derrick Phillips - RSD Alert editor
