Drugs on RSD Alert
(notes and comments from correspondents) |
Efferdose |
|
Description |
Efferdose is an effevescent proprietory form of the drug Ranitidine and is in a class of drugs called histamine receptor antagonists and works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach produces. It is used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines. This has no obvious connection with RSD, but we have had reports of it being prescribed to RSD patients. If you have RSD and have experience of this drug please tell us about your experience. Also available in tablet form as Zantac. |
