Heartfelt Sorrow

I am using the RSD Alert mailing list to send this message because of the large number of US residents on the list. Those who live elsewhere in the world will certainly understand.

I am so sorry to hear of the devastation that has hit the USA today. As a Christian I am deeply shocked that such an act of hatred could be done and,worse, that the perpetrators could (presumably) believe that they were doing it in the name of God. Hatred has no martyrs and I hope and pray that hatred will not triumph in this situation.

I am pleased to say that my own son and daughter-in-law (who live in Washington DC) have emailed reassurance that they are safe.

Be assured that people all over the world are thinking of you.
