Topamax High

Few patients enjoy taking medications and many will feel with Tina's frustrations about a drug that took so much away from her - but she was forced to depend on.

"You shorted me five!"
I scolded the pharmacist.
What a way to exist!
Counting pills to see if
there are fifty-six.
Yesterday he gave me four
Because he said he couldn't
give me anymore
until today
because the insurance company
wouldn't pay
for one more day
Then I was missing five!

I thought I had two refills
of these white obnoxious pills
And yet I was out
"I'm out of pills!" I cried,
"The doctor told me to take
two a day instead of one."
"No, no, no," the pharmacist alleged,
I don't know that's what
your doctor said."
"Sir, I don't understand", I pled,
"about all these sticky rules and meds."
"You think I take these pills for fun?
Good thing for you
I don't own a hand gun."
I can't think straight on this crap
All I want to do is nap
and when I awake I
Flip out to the max
flying high on Topamax
God knows I'm counting the days
'til I'm off this drug
and out of this haze
'til this burning pain is gone
and my mind is back
'til my thoughts don't race
and my Life's once again
back on track.
