Meet the RSD Alert Team
|
||
| RSD Alert is an international resource, with an international team who have personal experience of RSD. Some live with constant pain; others have experience of RSD as a carer or as a former sufferer. Each of the Team Partners is determined to fight back, rather than let this condition control their lives. All of us want to help people who are in pain or who need information - and we welcome correspondence. To make email contact with one of us click the Contact button. | |||

Carol comes from Wisconsin, USA. She is a dog lover and works as a volunteer for the Humane Society. Her first encounter with RSD/CRPS followed a skiing accident that caused a colles fracture in her left wrist. She is now in remission and wants to encourage people to keep positive and keep going. Read her story on Storyboard. |
Carole, who lives in Florida developed RSD in the fall of 2000 and flipped out when she read what she could find about it on line. At the time she was totally disabled in the right hand and arm. Now, she is back to normal, except for the pain that is sometimes managable and sometimes needs a bit more work. She says "It mostly feels like a toothache but the more I use the hand, like typing or sewing, the easier it gets". |
Linda is a teacher and lives in New South Wales, Australia - but she has also spent time teaching in British schools. RSD made her rethink things, but in fact she took on some the greatest academic challenges of her life. Linda has one adult son who has two children. She says "being a grandmother is a joy, but one that has been hampered by pain and fear of dropping the precious bundles". |

Derrick is the founder and editor of RSD Alert. His RSD started after a walking accident but he has been fortunate to have been in remission since early 2000 - long may it continue! His story formed the first pages of the original RSD Alert website and you can read it by clicking here.
