Chiropractic

Description
Skeletal manipulation (similar to Osteopathy).
Notes

RSD is defined as a condition without clear physical roots. Some patients have identifiable nerve damage but any gross injury (such as bone fracture) is healed before RSD makes its appearance. On that basis, it seems to be outside the normal scope of chiropractic. Nevertheless, some patients report encouraging results that we should not ignore. Physiotherapy does have a strong history of success with RSD and it is possible that successes occur where these two traditions of treatment effectively coincide.

Comments

I heard of this practitioner from a lady at work whose husband was waiting for treatment on a slipped disk and had gone to see him and was helped. At the time I still didn't know what was going on with my body but I was sick of waiting for the doctors.
I went along and told him everything. I had to sit on a stool and he moved his hand over my back and down my arms to my fingers. Then he made me lie on my back on the floor and pulled me one way then the other. He pulled my legs around then he said he couldn't really help me as he is a bone man and the problem isn't in my bones but my nerves (freaky eh?) But he did say he was going to realign my pelvis as it was out of place. He did a bit more pulling and then I had to lie flat and I did feel different. Helen - A member of RSD UK Group

I hope this might be helpful to at least some people. Having suffered for some months with little relief except pain-killers and having tried various therapies such as herbal medicine and acupuncture I was offered Spiritual Healing which gave relief firstly for a day and then for longer each visit until most of the active pain was gone. Then I had Mctimoney Chiropractic to sort out the structural problems (partly caused by using sticks to walk),and that was very helpful. I also had Massage and Reflexology to get the muscles moving, improve flexibility and reduce swelling. Finally (seven months down the line) I had Physiotherapy consisting mostly of exercises to improve flexibility and build back muscle tissue which has been very helpful.. Homeopathy has also helped (Ruta Grav 6th potency) I feel as if I'm improving and definitely have vastly less pain and greater mobility week by week. Ian Markham - England
